【オーストラリア研修】Day4
Our school trip to Broadbeach is becoming more memorable with each passing day! Today, we started with a final rehearsal of our performance at the beach, enjoying the stunning ocean view and fresh sea breeze. The students were excited and confident about their upcoming presentation.
Afterward, we headed to Broadbeach, where the teachers and staff had prepared a delightful BBQ breakfast for us.
The delicious food and warm hospitality set a perfect tone for the day.
The highlight of the morning was the opening ceremony at Broadbeach State School. The Broadbeach students put on a wonderful show, featuring dancing, singing, and even a Japanese song performed by their prep students.
It was a heartwarming welcome that everyone appreciated.
Following the ceremony, our students paired up with their buddies and joined their classes. They were encouraged to observe and reflect on the similarities and differences between the school systems in Japan and Australia. During their time in the classrooms, we encouraged them to speak as much English as possible, interact with everyone, and ask if anyone needed help or had questions, fostering a spirit of communication and cooperation.
This exercise sparked interesting discussions and provided valuable insights.
In the evening, a bonding dance session with their buddies was arranged, filled with fun games and laughter. It was wonderful to see the strong connections being rekindled, continuing the friendships that began during the Broadbeach students’ visit to Japan.
Our students were overwhelmed with the thoughtful presents they received from their buddies and Broadbeach.
The variety of gifts was a testament to the effort and care put into making us feel welcome. We ended the day with a pizza dinner, which everyone enjoyed immensely. Meeting our Broadbeach families was another highlight, providing a chance for personal interactions and strengthening bonds.
Some students are starting to miss their families back home, but we encouraged them to embrace this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Tomorrow, we will check out of the apartments, marking the students’ first night with their host families. Excitement and anticipation are in the air as they look forward to this new chapter of their journey.
